What we need
  • 3-5 one hour strategy sessions covering topics like potential volunteer market, timeline, strategies for outreach and recommendations for implementation (potential risks, possible management tools, etc.)
  • A written summary of goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
  • A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing your strategy.
What we have in place
  • We currently have a volunteer google form, a number of current volunteers, and a number of media posts surrounding it.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,866 , allowing us to feed over 500 people in the short term and many more down the line.

Over the past few weeks Transfernation has scaled immensely and with it the need for volunteers increased exponentially. Better volunteer recruitment and coordination will help us as we get more organizations on board with food recovery and ensuring that their extra food goes to those in need. This project is being listed at a critical time for Transfernation and any assistance in volunteer recruitment, utilization, and retention would be invaluable.

Our mission

Transfernation is a technology based platform which aims to create a sustainable system of food redistribution by connecting corporate events to homeless shelters and soup kitchens so that extra food goes to people in need while simultaneously cultivating a cultural movement changing the way view our extra.

What we do

Transfernation aims to provide sustainable solutions to food waste in all sectors:

Currently we operate off our online platform or manually in order ensure that extra food from corporate events goes to those in need. We operate by partnering corporate and social institutions, a volunteer basis, or finally a transportation partnership basis. We aim to find the ideal solution for the companies we work with in order to make giving your extra as throwing it away.

We hope to expand to an iphone app which will be a person to person food-sharing app as well as a way to streamline our current processes through corporate event integration and volunteer coordination systems.

At its heart Transfernation is a cultural movement designed to shift the way we think about our extra food and cultivate great consciousness among all of us.
