Project details

What we need
  • A detailed, unbiased audit of the Organization's culture including current strengths and weaknesses
  • Actionable steps to follow to promote team happiness and productivity
  • Up to 4 coaching sessions with a selected staff member
What we have in place
  • Last year, the leadership team of the CEO, COO and CFO established a goal of creating a “safe” environment for people to communicate freely. PCH also has an employee satisfaction survey and an exit interview process. Issues identified are workload, looking for more experience, more flexible schedule, and their relationship with their manager. How can we get staff comfortable to talk with their manager before resigning? Staff appreciate food and we celebrate with pizza, etc. PCH has an annual Staff Recognition and Nursing Home Week celebration.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,298 , allowing us to retain an additional 20 staff each year.

The business of long-term care is a competitive one. The PCH staff must be consistent and well trained in order to be "customer oriented" and provide the "best care and service" at all times. PCH must reduce its staffing turnover rate which would result in a stable and happy staff. This will improve resident outcomes, and increase resident/family satisfaction.
