Project details

What we need
  • Feedback on current Facebook page design, past content, and engagement strategy
  • Update of the organization’s Facebook page, including creation of a compelling profile
  • A document outlining a content plan and engagement strategy for the organization’s Facebook page
  • Suggestions for style, tone, and types of content to showcase on the Facebook page
  • Best practices for using Facebook to implement campaigns and build an online community
What we have in place
  • We currently have some ideas for ways we want to use Facebook, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an existing Facebook page with 4k+ likes, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,750 , allowing us to Subsidize healthy meals for 50 Preschool children from low-income families for two months.

The success of our organization depends on our ability to market to a wider audience. Without your help, we cannot effectively utilize social media. Your skills will empower us to use the power of Facebook to further our mission.

Our mission

Waikiki Community Center's mission to care for our kupuna (elders), keiki (children) and community as `ohana (family).

What we do

Touch the Lives of Kupuna (elders) - We provide services to address whole-person wellness as well as urgent needs for seniors at risk of losing their independence and/or who need help accessing basic needs such as food, housing, medical care and transportation.

Close the Achievement Gap for our Keiki (children) - We providing quality early education and family support to close the persistent and growing achievement gap between children from low to moderate income families and their more advantaged peers.

Create a Stronger Community - We engage coalitions of community partners to build a stronger community, addressing issues of interest to community members such as disaster preparedness and pedestrian safety. Since the pandemic we dramatically increased support for the urgent needs of our seniors, families and unemployed visitor industry workers with our emergency food pantry and rental assistance services.
