Project details

What we need
  • A Website Audit report that includes:
    • Outline of Organization’s goals for the website
    • Feedback on current website’s layout, user functionality, visual design, content and other features
    • Recommendations for improvements to help achieve Organization’s desired goals
What we have in place
  • We currently have good search engine traffic and we use Google Analytics to review our online presence. Our staff have experience using our website platform and are dedicated to making our website more responsive, engaging, and capable of inspiring action steps.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,767 , allowing us to build 3 shallow wells to provide 240 households with safe water.

Our current website is text-heavy with a dated design. We have good traffic to our website through Google AdWords for Nonprofits, but we're not taking full advantage of the site traffic to inspire visitors and trigger action steps. This project will give us an outline of how to update the website to lead to increased interaction and donations online.

Our mission

Our mission is to facilitate community health and well-being in rural Uganda through improved access, education, and prevention.

What we do

Since 2003, Uganda Village Project (UVP) has been working with the people of Iganga to promote public health and sustainable development in the rural communities of this marginalized district in southeast Uganda. As an international nonprofit organization, we work directly with community-based organizations and local government to utilize local knowledge and maximize community ownership. Our flagship effort is our "Healthy Villages" program, an innovative, grassroots approach to addressing rural healthcare and public health in Uganda. Through the Healthy Villages program, we work at a village-by-village level to address the most pressing healthcare concerns of each community, including malaria, HIV and STIs, household sanitation and hygiene, and family planning access. We also work with obstetric fistula awareness and repair and provision of clean water through shallow wells.

Testimonials

Michael provided us with a great document that gave feedback on the content and design of our website. We've used his advice to launch a website redesign and it's been very helpful to us!
