Project details
What we need
- An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
- A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
What we have in place
- We currently have multiple program data and surveys, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have pre and post tests, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to communicate our results and performance to 500 donors and Kauai residents.
The success of our organization depends on communicating results of our programs to the public. Without your help, we cannot continue to gather public support and donations for programs. Your skills will empower us to get the word out about how Hale Opio supports Kauai youth.
Project plan
Our mission
Hale `Opio Kaua`i, Inc. is dedicated to improving young people's quality of life, enhancing a sense of belonging, increasing self-awareness and strengthening `Ohana by providing residential and community programs for educatiobn, prevention, diversion, and treatment.
What we do
Chartered in 1974, in a response to a Needs Assessment calling for a more structured helpful setting for the state’s young people, Hale `Opio began as a large group home in Puhi, Kaua`i. Believing young people need supported opportunities to develop their interest and strengths in the least restrictive setting, Hale `Opio staff provide support by attending school with our young people and after school activities in our Learning Resource Center include art, culture and recreation.
Current Hale `Opio programs include; Therapeutic Foster Homes, Emergency Shelter Services, Kauai Teen Court, Family Group Conferencing, Victim Impact Classes, Independent Living, First Jobs Academy, School Connections, Positive Action, Street Smart, Teen Dating Violence Prevention, Making Proud Choices and Truancy Prevention and Intervention.
Hale `Opio is only one of four non-profit organizations, operating on Kaua`i that is nationally accredited, and the only one of three Kaua`i non-profit organizations administered by a community-based, local Board of Directors.
Hale `Opio Kaua`i, Inc., is committed to the community of Kaua`i and actively participates by taking leadership roles to help bring training, education, and resources to benefit the children, youth and families, and the professionals who serve them.
