What we need
  • Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, blog post, one-pager/fact sheet, fundraising/promotional materials
  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives
What we have in place
  • We currently have brand messaging and a strategic plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have statistics and profiles of the groups we serve, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to teach & mentor 1200 underrepresented youth technology education.

The success of our organization depends on the clarity of our messaging. Without your help, we cannot simplify and expand our reach. Your skills will empower us to bring technology education to underserved youth.

  • Volunteer Manager provides brand messaging guide and marketing strategy (if applicable)

  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss goals of copywriting deliverables, target audience, and desired style and tone of writing

Our mission

CoderDojo NYC is a volunteer non-profit running free monthly workshops for web, game and app development for youth ages 7 to 17.

Our mission is to create a fun, collaborative environment to explore STEM*. Through play, youth can build memorable experiences with mentors.

* = science, technology, engineering, mathematics

What we do

- free monthly STEM workshops to youth ages 7-17 in the Greater NYC Area (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx)
- 50:50 gender ratio
- 1,200 youth per year open to 1,400 families
- 300 mentors
