What we need
  • An effective and concise document that covers the following: Mission and Vision Statement, Executive Summary, Products, Programs, and Services, Target Market, Marketing Plan, Industry and Competitive Analysis, Financials, Organizational Structure, Management Team/Role of Board, Your Offering, Appendix, etc.
  • An internal guide to align day-to-day operations and goals
  • A fresh perspective on an Organization’s goals and strategies
What we have in place
  • We currently have a P&L statement and online catalog, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a staff member available to answer questions, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $15,028 , allowing us to better serve and meet the needs of 3000 NCTA members and volunteers.

NCTA currently merchandizes a small selection of maps, books and logowear, both through our storefront office and online: https://northcountrytrail.org/storefront/ . We need a retail business plan to optimize our efforts.

Currently we have no retail business plan and are not sure where to begin. We are not staffed to effectively manage a retail operation. We hope to generate profit levels to support staff. We have a p&l statement. We're balanced on the cusp of determining whether we ought to be attempting this or not.

Our mission

MISSION
The mission of North Country Trail Association is to develop, maintain, protect and promote the North Country National Scenic Trail as the premier hiking path across the northern tier of the United States through a trail-wide coalition of volunteers and partners.

What we do

NCTA is a non-profit, member organization devoted to the construction, maintenance, promotion and protection of the North Country National Scenic Trail (NCNST). The North Country Trail is the longest (4600 miles) of the 11 Congressionally designated national scenic trails. NCTA volunteers work in local chapters located along the length of the NCNST, and are supported by a small professional staff at NCTA Headquarters in Lowell, MI.
