Social Media Plan
Social Media Plan
Project details
What we need
- A document outlining the most appropriate social media channels for our organization, strategies for usage, goals and key metrics to evaluate success
- Expert consultation on messaging, scheduling and frequency
- Tailored suggestions for style, tone, and types of content to best showcase our organization
- Recommendations for how to boost fans/followers/views on existing social media channels
- Strategy for maximizing impact in social media with limited assets and no financial resources
What we have in place
- We currently have an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and e-mail. We have a dedicated staff member with several years experience who manages these accounts and communicates with constituents regularly. We have some video and photo content available for use, though limited. We are looking for someone to help bolster our existing strategies to grow our audience and generate better engagement with fans/followers/viewers.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,632 , allowing us to fund two leadership and skill-building workshops for 40 young girls (and their families) affected by disasters in the U.S.
Social media is one of the most effective ways to communicate with a fresh audience of young people looking to get involved with the causes they care about. Better use of our social media channels and a stronger strategy will help us grow, capture new supporters and donors, and generate much-needed awareness for our vital programming worldwide amidst the clutter of hundreds of thousands of nonprofit organizations and causes in the marketplace.

Our mission
Operation USA helps communities alleviate the effects of disasters, disease and endemic poverty by providing privately-funded relief, reconstruction and development aid throughout the world. We offer material and financial assistance to community-based organizations that promote sustainable development, leadership and capacity building, income generating activities, education, health services, and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable people.
Operation USA is a Charity Navigator Four Star Charity.
What we do
Since 1979, Operation USA has worked in more than 100 countries, delivering over $400 million for relief and development projects.
Working with grass-roots partners on the ground, Operation USA provides material and financial assistance necessary in the face of a disaster, as well as to combat the effects of systemic poverty. Dedicated to rebuilding with commitment and listening to communities’ voices to determine the best way to assist them, Operation USA stays in the field long after many others leave, supporting long term projects that rebuild lives and livelihoods.
