Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details
We’re looking for a professional who will be able to provide honest, open, and timely feedback on our ideas and who can integrate this site with our existing Wordpress site (as a subdirectory or subdomain).
What we have in place
- We currently have a platform plan that outlines branding guidelines, logo, high quality photos, and a template visual design. We have a team working on developing concept, content, and design, but need a professional’s technical skill to get our plans onto a virtual platform.
We have a staff member dedicated to coordinating this project as well a couple of additional contributors who have experience and insight on user interface.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to provide funding for 5 financially disadvantaged students to intern with a grassroots health organization abroad.
As an organization passionate collaboration and community, we’re excited to connect our network through the power of collective storytelling. These stories - of beginnings, ends, and everything in between - will give our members a sense of where we’ve been and a voice in where we’re going as GlobeMed celebrates our 10th year anniversary. This project will re-engage our alumni, promote network community, and increase external awareness of our impact with a long-term goal of building a strong foundation of alumni donors.
This new site will complement our existing organizational site and act as a platform for posting members’ experiences.
Project plan
Our mission
At GlobeMed, we envision a world with health equity, where every person has the opportunity to attain their highest level of health. We aim to achieve this vision by developing student leaders who share our commitment to social justice, and by partnering and collaborating with grassroots organizations to help shape the global health discourse of the future.
What we do
GlobeMed develops university students into courageous and values-driven leaders for global health. To support this, GlobeMed builds long-lasting partnerships between university-based chapters and grassroots organizations in Africa, Asia and the Americas. These partnerships catalyze on-the-ground collaboration and guide students to develop the essential skills and perspectives necessary to advance health equity. We further enhance our learning and reach by transcending sectors, borders, and generations to tackle global health challenges and propose solutions.
Today, GlobeMed is a dynamic network of more than 6,000 next-generation leaders from 60 university campuses and over 50 grassroots organizations who are committed to fostering the global health leadership and partnership needed for tomorrow.
