Project details

What we need
  • A press kit for the Organization (in print and electronic formats) that includes: mission and vision statement, historical information about the Organization, biographies of senior staff, fact sheet, logo design, supplementary multimedia, any relevant press releases, and contact information for the appropriate staff member at the Organization
  • Press release template for future use
  • Recommendations on how to build relationships with the media
What we have in place
  • We currently have two promo videos, plenty of pics, and crowdfunding language, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a growing press list, a twitter presence,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to bring joy and creative opportunities to an additional 100 people living with dementia and family members.

We are at a point in our organization's history where we need to be in front of the press: for a higher profile with our community, with the public, and with funders. We have a particularly crucial event coming up -- an exhibition of art by our program participants -- that we just *have* to get in front of the press and wow them with! We need you to help us develop such a stellar press kit that once we've reeled them in, they won't want to leave!

Project plan

2

Our mission

ARTZ Philadelphia was founded on the belief that people living with dementia should be accorded the benefits of well-being and quality of life that others enjoy. We offer opportunities for interactions around arts and culture that turn this belief into reality. Our mission is to provide opportunities for self-expression and for the rebuilding of self-esteem and dignity to people with dementia and those who care for them. We achieve this mission through evidence-based programs that connect people living with dementia and their care partners with artists and cultural organizations; with each other; and with neighbors who live with or without dementia.

What we do

ARTZ Philadelphia was founded in 2013 with the purpose of enhancing the cultural and creative life of people living with dementias of all kinds. We foster a sense of creative community among people living with dementia and their care partners; and work to restore to people living with dementia their rightful place as valued members of our wider creative community.

We do this through arts-based programs for our constituents that take place in arts and culture venues and in care facilities throughout the greater Philadelphia area (and beyond!). We look at art together, we talk about art together, we make art together... all as a way of engaging with each other and building community.
