Project details
What we need
- An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
- A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
What we have in place
- We have an existing branding identity guidelines document. We also have a great website and blog and social media presence. And we'll point you to info online that in a most boring way speaks to the history - like this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2702720/ and like this: http://iom.nationalacademies.org/~/media/Files/Activity%20Files/Disease/NCPF/BackgroundPaperPediatricCancerSurvivorsPastHistoryandFutureChallanges.pdf --
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to ignite a firestorm of awareness among 1000000 to cure childhood cancers by funding the necessary research that historically just hasn't happened.
Every 3 minutes, another child is diagnosed with cancer. 1 in 5 won't survive and the ones who do end up with so many long-term disabilities because the cancer treatments they were given were designed for adults and not for little bodies still in development. Childhood cancer research is needed badly - only about 4% of government funding is dedicated to kids' cancer. And recently a drug was approved...it's only the 3rd or 4th drug for kids in 20 years. We need help illustrating childhood cancer research history - showing what's been done and how we need to do more.
Project plan
Our mission
We do one thing and we do it well: fund childhood cancer research. We take great care of the funds raised by our generous volunteers and supporters to direct every possible dollar to carefully selected research grants.
What we do
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives.
