Strategic Plan
Project details
What we need
- Analysis of the Organization’s current needs, long-term goals, programs, competitive standing and resources
- Recommendations for an appropriate course of action to reach the desired objectives, including allocation of resources and how to measure success
- Plan outlining the resources and steps required to reach short- and long-term goals
What we have in place
- We currently have 5 energized board members and one fundraising activity, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the CEO who is experienced in strategic planning and will be a great internal support, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,395 , allowing us to award 6 education scholarships to help struggling nurses impact their local community's response to violence.
Our Foundation was started with the best of intentions, motivated staff and volunteers, and a small reserve of funds but we've lost our way. We award 3 international education scholarships a year. We joined Catch a Fire so we could get the help we need to strategize, prioritize and act! The Foundation's objective is to raise funds for the benefit of nurses wishing to become a forensic nurse or expand their education on the field. Forensic nurses most often work in the Emergency Department helping victims of crime by providing a medical forensic exam.
Project plan

Testimonials
Art was a pleasure to work with. His support and guidance was instrumental as we wrote a Strategic Plan for our Foundation. Art possessed a wealth of knowledge and experience related to non-profit organizations, which proved to be invaluable. He consistently made himself available and offered guidance to our Foundation Board.
The IAFN Foundation was terrific to work with. Erin Pollitt and Joyce Williams are volunteers working tirelessly to broaden the impact of the foundation and provide the financial support for forensic nurses with a financial need to attend the International Association of Forensic Nurses' annual conference - a key opportunity to network and learn the best practices for the profession. They were able to communicate proposals to and receive support from their board to implement many of the project outcomes during the course of the project. It was my pleasure to work with them.
