What we need
- A professionally designed online survey ready to use (set up with Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, Typeform, SurveyLegend, or other tool)
- Training to equip staff to execute and manage survey
What we have in place
- We currently have over 400 volunteers, most of which are active, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a tech saavy team of interns ready to help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,828 , allowing us to plan and execute 2 trainings for 100 attorneys each.
The success of our organization depends on utilizing volunteers to the best of our ability. Without your help, we cannot reach volunteers and determine our strengths and weaknesses. Your skills will empower us to reach our attorney volunteers in a direct way.

Our mission
Safe Passage Project addresses the unmet legal needs of indigent immigrant youth living in New York by providing these indigent youth with basic advice and assistance. We work with volunteer attorneys to provide representation for unaccompanied minors in immigration court. Safe Passage provides training, resources, and mentoring to volunteer attorneys regarding Special Immigrant Juvenile (“SIJ”) status as well as other possible immigration alternatives for children.
What we do
We recruit, train, mentor, and support pro bono attorneys and students who volunteer to assist immigrant children. We have existed as a group since 2006, but we have grown immensely since June of 2014 when the surge of child migrants began crossing the borders. We believe that no child should face immigration court alone.
