Our mission

To provide innovative education programs to disadvantaged youth in South Africa. We specialize in Model UN, marimba music education and academic scholarships. Help us empower South Africa's youth!

What we do

Established in 1992, Education Africa strives to reach and uplift the poorest of the poor. We aim to assist disadvantaged South Africans in their quest to obtain a quality, relevant education in order to ensure that they are in a position to become global citizens and a competitive, productive element in the local job market. Education Africa aims for an educated nation which in turn will lead to a progressive nation that is in a position to sustain economic growth.

Education Africa acknowledges that it will take decades to rectify the wrongs of Apartheid and restore the balance in the South African education system. Indeed, the re-establishment of a culture of learning and teaching in South Africa is very much a work in progress. We are driven by our guiding principles: “Making real change Happen” by implementing “Poverty alleviation through Education”.

Recent developments have resulted in a new growth strategy for the organisation, which includes a number of our successful projects being adapted as social franchises for expansion into other African countries. Please refer to our Project Portfolio on our website for more information on our projects.
