What we have in place
WHAT WE HAVE IN PLACE:
We currently are keeping records using a spreadsheet. We have a pro bona accountant doing our annual IRS 990 return as well as providing an annual audit of our financials. We have a part time book keeper in Africa who only handles Burkina accounts and projects. We are looking to assimilate all of our financial matters into a seamless system that will reflect both our stateside and foreign financials. We currently operate using multiple currencies so consolidations of accounts will necessarily require the melding of the various currencies.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,779 , allowing us to provide sustainable water 1500 villagers living in Africa.
We are a growing organization looking to expand and maintain our accounting integrity. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and a professional appearance is essential for us to maintain our growth and attract donors. We operate within the United States, however our programs are implemented in Western Africa. We need to have a system in place that will reconcile our various jurisdictional expenditures and operations and provide for an overall seamless integration of all our operations.
