Mobile-Friendly Website Audit
Mobile-Friendly Website Audit
Project details
What we need
- An assessment of how well the Organization's website works on mobile devices (phones and tablets)
- Specific recommendations on how to update the website to work with mobile devices, including the highest priority enhancements needed to meet the Organization’s goals
- Guidance on next steps, or resources for starting a mobile responsive website redesign project
- Note: This project does not include new website development, or a complete responsive redesign of a current website.
What we have in place
- We currently have an active website, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a website volunteer that could provide additional support,, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $12,802 , allowing us to reach 500 more donors once we complete the project.
The success of our organization depends on technology. Without your help, we cannot create a sustainable mobile donation campaign. Your skills will empower us to share our mission using technology more effectively.
Project plan
Our mission
To provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
What we do
We match children (Littles) with mentors (Bigs) who can be positive role models in the lives of the children. These matches are one-to-one, providing a unique role model in the lives of children, ages 6-14. Mentors are people who care and can help the children fulfill his or her full potential. The matches are professionally made and supported. We do extensive work to make sure the Big and Little are compatible and that the Big receives the training and assistance needed to ensure the match lasts for a year or more. In 2011, we increased our average match length from 14 to 23 months!
There are 40,000 at-risk youth right here in the Triangle (Wake, Durham and Orange counties in North Carolina). We already serve 1,000 of these youth, but we need to serve many more. These are children who need mentors more than most children. Studies tell us that these positive relationships make a significant difference in the lives of these children. They help children increase self-esteem, overcome adversity and improve school behavior and academic performance. There are also economic benefits for the entire community from improved educational outcomes and reduce violence and crime.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle provides safe, professionally supported, enduring, successful mentoring relationships that help children thrive and prosper. Please help us grow our agency so we can match more children with caring mentors who change their lives for the better, forever.
Our organization is a part of GSK Impact Awards US.
