Braden Busch is a consultative nonprofit strategist and executive search lead recruiting primarily for nonprofit leadership roles throughout California, Austin, the state of Texas and all four times zones of the United States including NYC, DC, and major metropolitan areas on the East Coast. His search strategies and networks are vast and include domestic and international nonprofit candidates. He focuses on recruitment for Executive Directors, Nonprofit CEO/COO/CFOs, Development Directors, and Nonprofit Operational Leadership. Over the past 17 years, Mr. Busch has led hundreds of searches for nonprofit organizations, foundations, higher education, the Fortune 500, and tech and startups. Braden is a passionate leader of executive search teams offering proven expertise in areas vital for success in search.
Prior to joining Scion Executive Search as Managing Partner in 2006, Braden led searches for Corestaff, AppleOne, and Waterpik Technologies in northern Colorado and enjoyed the playground of the Rockies nearby.
Braden was a Board Trustee and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Fund for Elders' Independence, a foundation to support the Center for Elders' Independence in the San Francisco East Bay. He was a regular speaker at Jewish Vocational Services in San Francisco and volunteers for and supports several nonprofits including: Alameda Food Bank, Amazon Watch, American Diabetes Association, Glide, Shanti, Greenpeace, ACLU, and San Francisco Frozen Film Festival. He's also been a moderator on several tech and nonprofit panels covering the topics of nonprofit organizational development, staffing strategies, executive search, fundraising, and board of director involvement.
Braden resides in Austin, TX and is owned by his two cats, Zebra and Zorro.
