Tina L.
Biography
I was raised in a family of educators and nonprofit leaders, and a benefited from nonprofit programs and services as a child. I KNOW nonprofits improve the quality of life, increase the compassion and provide honest conversation and action around social justice in our communities. My main passion is around accessible, inclusive, high-quality youth engagement programs. I have led and been inspired by Camp Holiday Trails since Jan. 2004, engaging children and teens with medical needs in camp programs. I spent 10 years prior with the YMCA of Los Angeles focused on community development initiatives for new So. and Central American immigrants in LA. Prior to that I was part of the early AmeriCorps years as a member and later a coach. I have worked as a facilitator and consultant with nonprofit organizations beginning with my years running the volunteer program at my college.
