Amir Samandi is the founder and Executive Director of Students of Service (SOS), a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to developing global citizenship in youth through local service-learning and meaningful travel abroad experiences. Prior to this he was an educator in the public school system, teaching world geography, economics. He was also an adjunct professor at St. Mary's University for several years, teaching International Relations and Political Sciences courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to this, he served as an intelligence analyst, both for the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of State, with a primary focus on Iraq and Counter-Terrorism efforts. He has a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.
