Biography

K.C. joined Thrive DC in 2019 with more than 20 years of fundraising experience at nonprofit organizations in San Francisco. Initially hired as the organization's Grants Manager, he moved into the position of Development Director in January of 2020. K.C.'s professional background spans the spectrum of fundraising including direct mail, major gifts, corporate partnerships, events, and capital campaigns. His emphasis in fundraising has often been with grant writing, and he brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience working with foundations and government grant sources. K.C. taught a grant writing course for two semesters at San Francisco State University in their Professional Writing Program. As Thrive DC's Development Director, K.C. works with board members, staff, volunteers, donors, and partners to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization.
