Sue Matthews is the President of tay-bandz/kids curing cancer and runs the foundation in honor and in memory of her daughter. Sue's primary focus is to raise awareness and fund pediatric cancer research. She oversees all fund raising and media events.
Sue spent almost five years on a pediatric oncology floor with her daughter. To spend one day on a pediatric oncology floor is to have your life changed forever.
Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College where she majored in Accounting. She is a CPA and was a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche.
While raising her children Sue became involved in the community and school PTSA positions. She currently is a hospice volunteer and holds a volunteer position on the Wake Forest Parent's Counsel. She is a member of Cambridge Who's Who, The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Lance Armstrong Foundation, The Woman's Committee of the Museum of New York City and The Ben Applebaum Foundation.
