Biography

Justin F. Brox, M.D., Justin Brox is the Executive Director of the Dr. Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic (GBCHC), Michigan's largest free clinic. As the Executive Director, Justin's days are spent ensuring that uninsured Michigan residents have access to the medical, dental, and pharmaceutical resources they need to meet their health needs. As an entirely community-supported and volunteer run clinic, Justin has the privilege of managing a team of the most caring and committed volunteers and passionate donors. Working with the future healthcare professionals at the outset of their training and helping them build the skills and empathy for patients that will carry them through their career is another facet of his role that makes the difficulties of operating a small nonprofit insignificant when compared to the impact of his work.

Multiple roles over the course of a decade at GBCHC, have equipped Justin with insights into the unique challenges and capacities of free clinics. Consequently, he is a passionate advocate for gaps clinics fill in our fractured healthcare system. Justin serves on the executive board of the Free Clinics of Michigan (FCOM), and is working toward a personal goal of visiting every clinic in Michigan (and those accessible to him while traveling or on vacation).

He lives with his wife, Hillary, and their seven children in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
