Biography

Melanie Miller serves as a Senior Territory Business Manager in the Pittsburgh, PA region with Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS). In this role, she develops new territory strategies and sales execution that contribute to the commercial sales division at Bristol Myers Squibb and advances treatment in the immunology/neurology disease space. Melanie creates opportunities for physicians and health care providers to elevate their treatment-solving options and utilize new medications to address clinical treatment challenges. Melanie builds strategic collaborations that support BMS in developing innovative treatment solutions and resources and builds brand awareness in the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, Melanie was the Executive Director, Center for Innovation at the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). Under her direction, the ONS Center for Innovation developed new technology solutions and resources that support the patient journey from diagnosis to assessment, intervention, symptom management, and survivorship. She brought the expertise of the oncology nurse to key stakeholder meetings to ensure that ONS and oncology nurses were represented in transformative care discussions. Melanie built innovative solutions to improve quality care and created cost-saving processes and workflow efficiencies for cancer care delivery. Melanie was the Director of Business Development at ONS, where she established effective business development programs and strategies to maximize organizational growth. In this role, she developed and expanded new business opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and new market segments for ONS. Melanie has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and managed award-winning specialty pharmaceutical sales teams. She is also a nurse and held clinical roles in healthcare.
