• Visited field sites in order to investigate recent maternal deaths and determine the factors contributing to the women’s death.
• Translated maternal death reports from Gujarati to English for future use in the maternal death project.
• Collected data from the maternal death reports in order to write a report of patterns contributing to maternal deaths in low socioeconomic classes and the tribal areas in Gujarat as well as possible routes the government, communities and other organizations could take to prevent these factors from occurring.
