Elissa joined Glendale Arts (formerly the Alex Regional Theatre Board) in 2004, as the Dir. of Marketing and Resource Development, rising to the position of CEO in 2012.

Under her leadership, GA weathered the elimination of redevelopment, negotiated a new lease and management agreement with the City of Glendale for management of the Alex Theatre and completed a 6600 sq ft expansion of the Theatre's backstage.

Since it's founding in 2008, Glendale Arts has to grown beyond the walls of the Alex Theatre and launched several programs including GA's community web site, GA Tickets, GA Partners, GA Members, GA Edu and GA Programs. All of these projects were designed to promote Glendale's vast and unique arts community.

In the past decade, GA generated over $9.5 million dollars in earned income and hosted more than 2500 community and professional performances. We've launched a variety of programs designed to generate new revenue streams thus enabling GA to continue to build business, build "buzz" and build Glendale's brand as a destination for "living, working and playing".

In 2014 she was honored by the Glendale Chamber as Business Woman of the Year and in 2009 both the Glendale Latino Association, YWCA Glendale and the CA State Assembly and Senate selected her as Business Woman of the Year. Most recently, the Executive Service Corps awarded her the prestigious Megan G. Cooper Leadership Award.
