Jeannette "Lil Milagro" Henriquez more than a 18 years of experience organizing around issues ranging from access to higher education for low-income people and communities of color, to femicide in Juarez, food sovereignty, union democracy and labor organizing, working to empower local people to challenge systems of injustice and oppression. In 2010 Lil Milagro received a graduate degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology. Her graduate work focused on deforestation and cultural and ecological survival of Nahuatl peoples in western El Salvador. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Mycelium Youth Network, an organization dedicated to empowering young people to survive and thrive in a climate challenged world. Her passion and constant inspiration are leadership development and community empowerment as tools for change.
