I was born and raised in Kailua, O'ahu and trace my 'ohana lineage to the 'aina of Puna and Kohala, Hawai'i Island and Kipahulu and Haneo'o, Maui. I graduated from Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama, then received my B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Pacific Island Studies from UH Hilo. In 2009 I received my Masters in Applied Archaeology and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from UH Manoa. I created Huliauapa'a in 2012 and continue to serve as the Executive Director of this growing organization.
