Biography

As a volunteer at Halleck Creek Ranch in my youth, I loved the connections that were created between people and animals. I went on to obtain an Animal Science degree (with a minor in Equine Science) from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and then served in an internship at Hoofbeats, a therapeutic riding program in Virginia.

I returned to Halleck Creek as a part-time Program Manager in 2007, and worked my way up to become the Program Director in 2009, then Interim Executive Director in December 2016, and finally Executive Director in 2017.

My long history of community service and horsemanship, and my passion for therapeutic riding have served me well in all of my various positions through the years. I am a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH, Intl.).
