Erin Busch is a composer and cellist residing in Philadelphia, where she is currently Ph.D candidate in composition at the University of Pennsylvania studying with Anna Weesner and Tyshawn Sorey. She has been commissioned and performed by So Percussion, the Albany (NY) Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra String Quartet, the TAK Ensemble, the Amorsima Trio, Orchestra 2001, the Philadelphia Charter - A String Theory School, Matthew Levy of the PRISM Quartet, and Network for New Music. Upcoming projects include a new work for Yarn/Wire and a piece for solo steel pan commissioned by Josh Quillen. Erin is a Cycle 16 Bahlast-Eeble fellow at the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music for the 2022-2023 season. Erin was also named one of Temple University's 30 under 30 in 2019, and was the winner of the 2020 International Association of Women in Music (IAWM) Libby Larsen prize.

Recently named one of Yamaha's 40 under 40 music educators, Erin is the founder and executive director of the Wildflower Composers Festival (formerly known as the Young Women Composers Camp), a summer composition program for gender-marginalized composers in high school. During the two-week program, students participate in college-level coursework, receive private lessons, and receive a world premiere of a new work. Guest artists in past years include Jennifer Higdon, Andrea Clearfield, Missy Mazzoli, Gabriela Lena Frank, Elainie Lillios, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), Variant 6, members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the ATLYS Quartet.
