Shelley Feist is Executive Director of the Partnership for Food Safety Education. At the Partnership Ms. Feist has focused on delivery of consumer information and tools to field educators, on bringing media attention to Fight BAC!® consumer safe food handling messages, and on organizational development and effectiveness.
Ms. Feist’s leadership on design and execution of a national stakeholder engagement process led to adoption by the PFSE Board, in June 2011, of a new national action plan for consumer food safety education in the United States.
Ms. Feist has appeared on NBC’s Today Show and has been quoted in multiple national consumer publications on the topic of safe food handling for consumers.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Ms. Feist was with the Pew Charitable Trusts, a private philanthropic foundation based in Philadelphia, PA where her work included an effort to assess and strengthen the policy development capacity of state-based organizations. Ms. Feist has worked for two U.S Senators focusing on appropriations and domestic policy, and served as Director of Government Liaison for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts under Chairman James D. Wolfensohn.
