(My pronouns are she/they)
I am a Native Xicana whose work focuses on uplifting Indigenous social justice, reclamation, and healing through a decolonized framework.
My expertise is in storytelling and I hold a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus in Photography and Video.
Currently, I hold the position of Communication Manager with the American Indians in Texas at the Spanish Colonial Missions (AIT-SCM). I believe my creative background, coupled with an analytical marketing lens, creates a harmonious approach towards amplifying AIT-SCM's mission.
In my free time, I am also a visual artist and create with digital art, paint, paper mache, and portraiture. On a personal note, I am on a journey of reclaiming my Indigenous roots and heritage and am a student of the Nahua-Tolteka language and customs.
