Biography

Rev. Ward is both a scholar and theologian. She earned her BS degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (SIUE) and her M.A. in Human Resources Development from Webster University. She has her Master of Divinity from Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University. She is a licensed and ordained preacher, serving as an Associate Minister at Washington Tabernacle M.B. Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Rev. Ward has a calling to serve youth and their families. At the Lord's leading, she established Triumphant Ministries in 2001. She hosts a weekly radio broadcast on KSTL Jubilee 690AM, Saturdays at 11am. She also conducts leadership workshops for youth and publishes a monthly newsletter called Triumphant Voices. Rev. Ward has served as Children's Director for First Baptist Church of Edwardsville, where she continues to volunteer. She has also completed 2 CPE Units of Chaplaincy training with the Veterans Healthcare Systems St. Louis, at both Jefferson Barracks and John Cochran Divisions, and serves a volunteer when needed. As the current Executive Director of the Near Southside Employment Coalition, 15 years, she helps youth and adults in the St. Louis Metropolitan area gain job skills and long- term employment.
