As a member of the WMP BRO team since April 2008, I strive to help other writers improve their writing skills. I serve as the Senior Editor for Mind and Soul, Education and Career, Health and Wellness, along with Reading and Literature.

For more than a decade, I worked as a journalist and artist in the Boston area. At the early age of 16, I started my career as a full-time newspaper reporter. I ultimately became the editor at a daily newspaper in the Boston suburb of Wakefield. I worked in print for more than ten years, breaking an array of high-profile news stories, including the Edgewater Technologies office massacre, which captured the nation's attention when Michael "Mucko" McDermott gunned down seven co-workers on December 26, 2000 in Wakefield, MA.

In spring 2008, I made the jump to broadcasting when I moved to Boston CBS affiliate, WBZ NewsRadio 1030, where I worked as a producer and editor alongside an award-winning team of reporters, anchors and writers. I worked at WBZ right up until my recent move to Southwest Florida.

I launched my web writing career in 2007. I joined WMP BRO as a Contributing Writer in April 2008. Within a few months, I was named to the position of Pet Care Feature Writer; a position that I held through April 2009 when I joined the WMP BRO editorial team. I enjoy writing on a vast array of topics, my articles cover everything from pet care to couponing, to journalism and web writing/blogging.

Animals are my true passion and I am a strong advocate for responsible pet ownership. I am professional animal issues and pet writer, and as such, my work has appeared in an array of national magazine publications and websites. I've had the opportunity to interview "The Dog Whisperer" Cesar Millan and PETA Founder Ingrid Newkirk, among many others. I also own and manage a pet pottery company, Piggy's Pet Pottery.

I am owned by more than 20 rescued special needs animals, including six dogs, twelve cats, guinea pigs, birds, and I volunteer as a foster home for chronically ill or behaviorally challenged pets. I also care for a local feral cat colony and I am currently spearheading an effort to spay/neuter and rehabilitate local abandoned pets. I offer an array of pet care advice on my site, The Sick Dog Blog, and right here on WMP BRO.

I also own and manage The Free Printable Coupon Website, which features information on the latest coupons, sales info, extreme couponing strategies and tips for saving money.
