Biography
I am the volunteer cofounder of Hibiscus Commons, a project of the Bay Area Community Land Trust that is committed to creating affordable cooperative housing for seniors. I'm interested in cooperative living to ensure that I and others can retire comfortably in community. For years, I volunteered at my children's schools and served on the steering committee for United in Action, the community organization that developed the 2020 Vision for Berkeley schools. I volunteered for Ashby Village, an organization for helping seniors live independently, and at entertainment venues. Dragon boating is my passion, and I race locally and internationally. Currently, I serve on the Bay Area Community Land Trust board of directors. And - I am a self-professed energy efficiency nerd!
