Community League of the Heights is a multi-service organization responding to the needs of the people of Washington Heights in Upper Manhattan, New York. We have programs that address families needs in housing, food access, education, and access to technology.
We were founded in 1952 as a block association that came together to provide safe after school recreation for the children on the block.
Under our current executive director we have grown immensely. We know own 33 buildings of affordable and supportive housing, have founded and support a public school and continue to run our food pantry and technology center.
Because of our rapid growth, we have need for some reorganizing and internal development so we can run all of our programs at the level that our constituents deserve and expect.
