Biography
Chris Morrill is the Donor and Online Communications Coordinator at Grassroots International. Since his teen years, he has spent most of his energies on social justice, grassroots organizing, and writing. His passion for social transformation "from below" has found a home in Grassroots International's longtime commitment to its international partners. As Donor and Online Communications Coordinator, Chris projects Grassroots and the voices of its partners to our supporters. He also coordinates direct mail, social networking and online programs.
Chris has worked for organizations like the Massachusetts Nurses' Association and UNITE HERE Local 26, and he has been involved in struggles like Occupy Wall Street and the Movement for Black Lives. He holds a B.A. in American Studies from UMass Boston with a minor in Labor Studies.
At Grassroots International, Shannon combines her love for writing with her passion for justice and technical expertise by coordinating the direct mail, social networking and online advocacy programs and oversees the organization's interns and volunteers. "Working with Grassroots' e-activists and social networks are great. It's rewarding to see the results of focused action to create change whether it's knowing we've shut down a decision maker's inbox or seeing our actions tweeted around the world." When not tweeting, Shannon is an avid gardener, cook and composter.
