Heather Haigh
Heather has been an active member of the Kalamazoo community for 16 years. She relocated to Kalamazoo from Chicago with her young family in 2005 when her husband accepted a position in the area. Originally from Iowa City, she grew up in a college town, which made Kalamazoo feel like home to her. She has two awesome teenage daughters, who keep her and her husband remarkably busy with their athletic and academic activities and two chocolate labs who they all love dearly! Heather has a M.A. in Counseling and Human Services as well as a B. A. in Elementary Education. She has worked and volunteered in the nonprofit sector for the past 25 years, most recently working for Justice for Our Neighbors Michigan since 2019. She actively volunteers with several local nonprofits and is passionate about empowering women, eliminating racism, and working to connect nonprofits together in a way that best serves their clients.
