Kathy Keane is Executive Director for the Texas Midwest Community Network (TMCN), 51-member community organization stretching across 31 counties in West Central Texas. TMCN is focused on resource development and promoting a regional approach to economic and community growth. She is responsible for organizing and scheduling quarterly member meetings, key interest workshops, legislative networking events, and regional luncheons culminating with an Annual Conference in October. She is also coordinator for the organization's Economic Development Alliance which brings economic development professionals together to educate and share valuable local, regional and statewide resources for long-term community sustainability. Kathy is the editor/publisher of the annual Texas Midwest Guide which promotes member communities by highlighting local histories, retail businesses and unique visitor experiences. The Guide - the only regional tourism publication of its kind in Texas - publishes 40K copies and distributed across the State.

Prior to her current position, Kathy served as the Economic Development Manager/Coordinator for the cities of San Angelo and Eden where she acted as the liaison and consultant for new and existing business ventures and directed the design, marketing, coordination, and evaluation of economic development programs and projects. Kathy was recognized as Leadership San Angelo Alumni of the Year in 2006 and received the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce Chairman's Award in 2009 for her work in attracting a Portuguese wind manufacturer. She received her Economic Development Finance Professional certification from the National Development Council and her Certified Tourism Executive certification from the Texas Travel Industry Association. She is a proud 2015 graduate of Leadership Texas - an organization promoting dynamic education and development opportunities for women leaders.
