Dr. Shinn is a senior partner in Global Consulting Solutions and professor emeritus and Borlaug senior scientist in international agricultural development at Texas A&M University. Shinn's work focuses on higher agricultural education, curriculum development, and diffusion of innovation.
Previously Shinn served as a resident advisor at the Armenian National Agrarian University to transition from a soviet-model to a Bologna-model curriculum. Since 2008, Shinn has worked in post-conflict agricultural assessments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and South Sudan. Prior experiences include professor and administrator of agricultural education at Texas A&M University.
Shinn is widely published and received the 2010 George H. W. Bush Award for Excellence in International Research. He is a Senior Fellow in AAAE and AIAEE.
