What We Do

Zion Cares Community Development Corporation is a community outreach ministry established in 2016 under the leadership of Reverend Jamal T. Johnson, Pastor. Our goal is to provide charitable services to our community and to those in need. Our goal is to be a beacon of hope for our youth and adults in various areas of Jersey City, particularly those in Ward F where our church is located. We currently provide winter coats for men, woman, and children yearly, meals for families in need, as well as backpack and school supply drive that prepares children in the community with items for a successful school year. We are looking to expand our services by creating an educational community center. The Zion Cares Outreach Community Development looks forward to providing academic assistance to students. We also aspire to include enrichment activities that will include arts, youth development, life skills, physical activity. In addition, we will engage adult family members with counseling, senior services, and life skills coaching. We are a non-profit, community-based, and faith-based organization.
