Mission

Oral health is health. Virginia Oral Health Coalition staff and partners across the commonwealth recognize that oral health is an essential part of overall health care. Our mission is to ensure all Virginians have access to affordable, comprehensive health care that includes oral health.

We strive to improve overall health by integrating oral health services, education, and referrals into all aspects of health care -- enabling Virginians of all ages and abilities to achieve optimal oral health. We accomplish this through advocacy, provider education and community-based change.

What We Do

Catalyst works to ensure that Virginians have equitable access to comprehensive health care that includes oral health by: Championing supportive federal, state, and local policies through our advocacy work; Facilitating community-based initiatives to address known barriers to oral health access through our regional alliances; Building a health system that includes oral health as an integral part of comprehensive health through our oral health integration efforts; Fostering a community that understands health care is an equity issue and seeks to learn from others through learning events and our annual Summit.
