Mission

The Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children (VAAEYC) acts and speaks on behalf of all young children in Virginia. We envision a world where all children will grow up valued, respected and provided with the nurturing and resources necessary to ensure their optimal development.

VAAEYC's work is done throughout the state via many chapters serving different service areas.

What We Do

Each chapter of VAAEYC works to implement the vision and mission of VAAEYC throughout its service region. In addition, Chapter members are involved with VAAEYC at the state level, and work alongside members from other VAAEYC chapters. Members participate in various programs, projects, and work circles, including the Annual Conference, and membership and marketing initiatives.
