Mission

The Trent House Association, with the City of Trenton, preserves historical integrity of the 1719 William Trent House and enhances its interpretation through stewardship, research, and public programming. It promotes understanding of the complex history and legacy of those who lived where the House stands - Native peoples who inhabited the land for thousands of years; European colonists and citizens of the early republic and the enslaved Africans who worked for them; families who immigrated to work in Trenton's factories and homes, and African Americans who came from the South looking for greater freedom and a better life.
