Mission

Podium empowers youth self advocacy and education through effective communication. We envision a Richmond, VA where a child's school does not limit their opportunities in life.

What We Do

Most of the youth Podium serves attend unaccredited schools or live in communities unable to provide every necessary resource to prepare for after graduation. Podium builds educational equity by creating youth-centered spaces for self-directed growth. We create opportunities for youth to develop communication skills through our free community services:

* Weekly afterschool and summer writing workshops.
* Annual journal and quarterly zine youth publications.
* Showcases, such as open mic and family celebration nights.
* Teen internships and professional conferences.
