Creating, sustaining, and defending spaces for live performance; as well as the communities they serve. The smaller the better.

What We Do

There are far more artists who need a 49 seat theater, than can use a 490 seat theater; yet it is these smaller theaters that are the hardest to keep alive. We are partnering with local communities to create and run a network of 49-99 seat performance parlors that can promote the growth of local artists, while providing a touring route for up and coming national performers. Our flagship theater in San Francisco has been open since 2011, running 250+ shows a year; servicing 1,000's of artists and over 10,000 patrons annually. We just opened our second space in Santa Rosa, and are currently researching the location of our third theater. We also provide free consultation services to community performance spaces struggling to survive; and someday hope to provide legal and financial assistance as well.
