Mission

The mission of the Institute is to promote, coordinate, and conduct innovative research at the intersection of race, ethnicity, and public policy. A central aim of the Institute is to increase the quantity, quality, relevance, and impact of research on racial and ethnic groups that face persistent inequities, inequalities, and disparities. Toward this end, the Institute strives to be a central locus for policy-relevant scholarship on race and ethnic diversity and engaged research on pressing racial justice and public policy issues.
