Mission

The mission of the Alumni Association of the Morris County Drug Court (AAMCDC) is to provide lifelong support to the participants and graduates of the Morris County Superior Court Drug program as they meet the many challenges of recovery.

What We Do

There is a critical need for Drug Court participants and graduates to stay connected to the recovery community and continue to foster positive relationships.

The AAMCDC holds monthly meetings featuring leading figures from the recovery community and current information on important recovery topics. We create and distribute a literary and art magazine titled In our Shoes, which showcases the participants' talents and builds better communications skills. We have also developed a substance abuse disorder prevention program called The Jail Cell, delivered by trained Drug Court alumni. Additionally, we sponsor sober social events for Drug Court participants and graduates, including Job and Career Fairs. We hope to expand our Financial Assistance program to be able to continue to help participants and graduates with educational, vocational, housing and personal expenses.
