Mission

TWU organizes directly impacted low-income communities of color, immigrants, low-wage workers, women, and youth to build power so people become change agents in their own lives by addressing the issues they care about. We believe true equity will only be achieved when people of color are at the forefront of changing systems. We center leadership development to build sustainable power to improve our quality of life. We address root causes of injustice and do grassroots organizing to advance housing, health, economic, education, and immigration justice. We build bridges between our community and those with the power to make change.
