Mission

Tallgrass Educational Films creates documentaries that engage, inspire and entertain. Our first film, "Punch 9 for Harold Washington" has won numerous awards, and now it's time to bring it to a national broadcast audience. We have already created a curriculum and discussion guide to facilitate use of the film in schools, colleges and universities. Theatrical and community screenings across the country have demonstrated the power of the story of Harold Washington to reach young people, who crave inspirational stories of progressive leadership.
