Mission

Step Up's mission is to deliver compassionate support to people experiencing serious mental health issues, and persons who are experiencing chronic homelessness, to help them recover, stabilize, and integrate into the community. Through dynamic partnerships, Step Up provides positive social and learning environments, vocational training, permanent supportive housing opportunities, and recovery services to empower individuals to cultivate lives of hope and dignity. Step Up exercises innovative leadership and advocacy to increase public understanding, support, and acceptance of all people living with serious mental health issues.

What We Do

Step Up delivers compassionate support to people experiencing serious mental health conditions, and persons who are experiencing chronic homelessness, to help them recover, stabilize, and integrate into the community. Step Up's objectives are to reduce barriers, increase opportunity, and meet essential needs of individuals experiencing mental health conditions and end the experience of homelessness. This includes adults, Transitional Age Youth (TAY) between the ages of 16-28 years, and Veterans. The scope of services include: Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH); Workforce Development and Employment; and Member-driven support programs and services.
